teenager Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) This is catastrophically bad Edited January 13 by teenager
Lovett Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I can't believe how badly this bombed. The song is pretty mediocre, but whoa...
Spark Posted January 13 Posted January 13 The song isn't good enough to make up for all the antics. The antics might get people talking, but the song has to at least be catchy like Montero and Industry Baby. Also, did he forget that Montero became such a hit partly due to the teasing he did on TikTok? He was literally the first one to do that really, and after the recent success of Greedy I am absolutely shocked he decided to randomly ditch that strategy. Maybe if he did that, he would have realised earlier that the song isn't the one. 2

Mezter Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) Instead of being fun and carefree this era he's been defensive and kinda cocky. He needed something fresh and undeniably good without all the antics but this was just a rehash... With that said I like this a lot more today. Love the pre chorus and outro Edited January 13 by Mezter

Shaner69 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 He shouldn't have said anything about Madonna and Gaga he's totally tanking.
Mezter Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Actually, let me add this to my playlist and help bro out. This is hitting right now

Carla Rosón Posted January 13 Posted January 13 7 hours ago, El Nino said: It's sad that he killed/killing his career by leaning into a gimmick. Being gay is already seen as a gimmick to the GP. That is why gay artists tend not to last after a big era. I don't know what happened but since the BET awards/snub he has been hellbent on this untouched underdog shtick that is tiring. Just make good music, Nas. We liked Call Me By Your Name, Industry Baby, and That's What I Want because they were great songs when you took away the theatric. None of your music since then has been good. The music video was aimless...The point you tried to make no one cares. Just focus on the music. If Jack Harlow can get hits, so can you. @Nasty Nas

liquiddiamonds Posted January 13 Posted January 13 No one mentioned it, but another part of his appeal last era around was that he was giving more of a hot boy-ish energy. Making out with other men in videos, showing his physique, homoerotically teasing naked, etc but with an everyday relatable look etc I’ve been noticing that some of the gays that found him hot are not going as hard for the visuals he dropped and I think it is because the video gave very little gay aesthetics. Had LNX dropped something in the line of Rush I think the reception would’ve been 1000% different 1
DemDam92 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Good he flopped, I’m no hater on him but ppl need to learn that blasphemy ain’t working in 2024 and its just super BORING. And lmao you tried to push YouTube streams with these Taylor Mariah Obama moments but it’s not working. thank u next
katara Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I think it's apparent he became wayyyy too arrogant and believed his own "hype" too much. This will serve him as a hard case of humbling.
Truth Teller Posted January 13 Posted January 13 The chorus is inexcusable. Ariana releasing on the same day was a blessing in disguise for him because the attention she's getting will make it easier for him to sweep this entire comeback under the rug and start fresh with something better and less gimmicky in a couple months. Don't even push it to radio. Just sweep. 3
Yog Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I’m not ready to count him out just yet, let’s see if this picks up in the future or at least single #2 really kicks the era into new gear. 1

You do know your post history is up where you have been seen in Ariana Grande threads swearing this man was gonna do huge numbers and saying the “hate only lives on ATRL”. Take your L and go. I’m glad people are seeing through the facade this time around, although TikTok might be able to save it (ala About Damn Time). I hope not though, this needs to be a lesson for him. 4 3
