Romova99 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I'm all here for Ms. Lil Nas X but the song its just not it, I feel like I heard it all before, it sound exactly like his previous work and the video lowkey too. But I adore that hes the only male artist that give us something different and special, I love the dance breakdown too! I hope he focuses more on his talents than controversy.
IBeMe Posted January 12 Posted January 12 video is very bad, choreo is wack and the song us very subpar. It soudns like a Montero reject song or something that should have been a bonus track...it's really lame. Call Me By your Name and Industry Baby sounded amazing on stereo. IB was anthemic and CMBYN was a sleekly produced track and then he had other solid album tracks...for this to be THE LEAD SINGLE for his highly anticipated comeback is a really odd choice and makes me worried that his entire album's sonic quality will be bad.
magazine Posted January 12 Posted January 12 not my lil nas also, what's up with the Sally Walker sample? A bop, but like it's too obvious 2

wish Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Only 900 videos on TikTok so far and #183 on Apple Music Pop, which is way outside the top 1000 overall. This might be dead on arrival, unless it somehow picks up later down the line. Nas should just abandon the blasphemy marketing ASAP if he wants to salvage this era. 2
MatiRod Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I don't think the song is a hit. But he is so driven and passionate and full of ideas I'm sure they'll follow-up with something that will do better. I do agree with the sentiments this sounds too much like his other stuff. And the sensory overload music video feels a bit dated now, Cardi had the same problem with "Bongos".
Blue Monday Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is trash. I don't really care about controversy or outrage fishing or whatever, but it doesn't really resonate when the music is this bad; it just feels cheap, which is ironic because I'm sure this video was expensive as hell

Mr. Peanutbutter Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The song is not bad but also not very good. The video is very weird. He served looks but eveything else was so badly executed.

chris1991 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Gen z likes him…he’ll do decently but yeah he has to switch it up a bit…getting same old same old.
Cap87 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The video enters at #28 on Apple Music US music video chart
G.U.Y. Gaga Posted January 12 Posted January 12 All this for this terrible song the hate for the imagery is so annoying though
Cap87 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I can't wait to see what else Lil Nas X have coming when he puts it like that. I'm excited and know Lil Nas X going to bring it.

I follow lots of Ariana fan accounts on Twitter but I hadn't even noticed she's #1 in the US and UK on iTunes because no one even mentioned it. Edited January 12 by Gelato 1
