Private Dancer I fear. Mariah was declining before Emancipation, but miss Tina literally had nothing left when Private Dancer was made. Mariah always had the chance to rebound with quality work and she did. Tina's was never a sure bet and she had to put nose to the grindstone to make that happen.

It debuted with 968,000 copies first week (more than double what Mariah did) and scored 2 global smash hits so there's nothing to laught at

We Belong Together is one of her most popular singles to date no one in 2023 remembers Suit & Tie

I love Mimi but Private Dancer wins. Mariah had had a few years of lesser success but she was still charting. Tina had...nothing in the late 70s and early 80s. Fell off the map. Mimi was flopping, but in that more modern pop girl way where people still know about it. It's not the same.

It also scored ZERO #1s on the Hot 100 and fizzled out by the third single, which didn’t even chart on the Hot 100.

The Emancipation of Mimi has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The 20/20 Experience sold 6 million worldwide. Help me out with the math.

I despise Justin Timberlake for the most part but we're not gonna pretend one of the best male pop albums of the 21st century featuring a song like Mirrors which absolutely still thrives in the mainstream has been forgotten

Blackout is not even in the same league as TEOM.
10 Grammy noms (3 wins), #1 song of the decade, actual writing and producing credits for Mariah, need I say more?
