The usual blogs haven’t reported on this and neither have some celebrity news websites. It’s very weird. Can you imagine if someone like Taylor swift did this?

Charges can be sought for witness tampering / witness intimidation. It just depends on which state the actions took place in. It would be no different from a situation where the mafia offers a victim/witness money to recant their sworn statement in an assault case. And some states even specifically write into their witness tampering statutes that compelling a victim or witness to recant a sworn statement is included.

 

Also, this may be coming out again due to these amendments to the complaint, but Jennifer's story has not ever changed and she is not claiming Nicki "recently" offered her money. She reported this same thing 2.5 years ago - and has been consistent that contact from Nicki started in 2020. Nicki first offered $20,000 and went up to $500,000 the last time she asked.

This situation was plausible enough that the U.S. Marshals were actively investigating Nicki's attempts at contacting Jennifer and were going to place Jennifer in the witness protection program. The fact that Nicki is willing to risk getting her own felonies all because she doesn't want to accept that her husband of choice is a sex offender, certified sexual predator rapist molester...

But I really can’t say I’m surprised since they spend a lot of their free time tearing down the appearances of other women, critiquing their plastic surgeries, laughing at their relationship woes, comparing women to various animals, etc. Misogyny and rape culture go hand-in-hand.
