BrentB Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Anyone have any stories of meeting a stuck-up gay with that trademark cringy Regina George complex reserved strictly for messy, purposeless, non-playable gays (but outside of online pop stan spaces, cause, chile, we all know they're in the room with us unfortunately)? I don't really meet much gays IRL so I personally haven't met any gays like this thankfully. Let's hope it stays that way
ATRL Moderator Bloo Posted December 22, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 22, 2023 Several years ago, I went on a date with a guy that voluntarily described himself as being just like Regina George. The rest of the date was pretty predictably not great. 6
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted December 22, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 22, 2023 When I first came out, I connected with this man who ran the gay circle in my town. Sat with them in complete silence at the local Starbucks as him and his friend talked shit about everyone who walked in. 5
Kern Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 My god so many. There was one who acted like Emma Roberts character from Scream Queens and he wanted to be like her 4
Odette Violet Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 None and hopefully never. Only in ATRL
Fastlane Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 It was me. There was a girl in my college, an excellent student, with whom my friends and I worked on a finance assignment. We had an exam and the whole group did not know this subject, except for a few people. We took a preliminary test before the subject so that the program would be adjusted to the initial level for us, but this did not happen. So, the excellent student girl became friends with my friend, ingratiated herself with her and they began to prepare for the exam together. Before the exam, the shared file on Google disappeared, all solutions disappeared from it, except for formatting the borders of the table. That girl deleted the solutions and when we called her on zoom, she said that "it would be more convenient for me to solve it." As a result, the excellent student received 5 for the exam, my friend (who has a financial education) – 3. I announced the start of her boycott and still do not hesitate to say a compromising word about her. 2
Dula Peep Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 I have but honestly most gays I've met are really nice. 2
Thin White Duke Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 (edited) No, I live in Eastern Europe so unfortunately we don't have the delusional confidence for it - we're mostly just depressed, in the closet and moody. Edited December 22, 2023 by Thin White Duke 1 6

BletaRexher Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 I befriended the only other gay in rehab my age and he was one. The moment we got our phones he showed me how he walked in a fashion show once and about how all these people keep asking him to model more. (I looked it up later and it was a student in college’s fashion show). Kept telling me about how older guys would buy him all this expensive stuff and how he had all these friends older than him who he only talked to because they were rich and wanted to **** him. Bragged about how his parents paid for his new apartment when he got out and how they were getting him a Jaguar. He would take any moment to either brag about how luxurious his life was or to criticize how people looked (keep in mind we were in REHAB). He would get flowers from his mom almost everyday and rant about how much he hates her. He wasn’t a bad looking guy but every picture he’d post online he’d facetune the hell out of it and pout his lips out to the point it was very uncanny valley. Karma kinda bit him in the ass because mommy and daddy still pay his rent but that’s it and all these older guys who’d buy him stuff stopped after he went sober and couldn’t do coke with them anymore. Now he works in a cafeteria since his parents stopped giving him an allowance and it really made me realize that “dream” of getting everything paid for you seems like it just leaves you more empty. 1
Trent W Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 When I had an internship I used to work with a guy that was a mix of regina george with jame charles. It was the worst mix possible, he harrassed me( and he never even knew I was into guys) but ended up getting along, or at least tolerating each other. He should be in jail for what he did in the first months tho.
Mr_campbell Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 When I was 18 I went to a gay bar for the first time. I was talking to a guy in the smokers area and he randomly told me I had no jaw and stormed off. 4
Dolce Vita Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 (edited) yes but theyre the annoying pretentious art gays with mullets that are everywhere in my city Edited December 22, 2023 by Dolce Vita
Dear Reader Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 I was once at a gay club with my best friend and some random guy we didn’t know walked up to us and said to my best friend: “why are you hanging out with this ugly?” and walked away it was so unhinged, I just laughed 4
Dante Silva Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Yes. They are out there but I perceive those traits as a reaction to them going through a ‘dry spell’. It gets weirder still when they take that behavior in to the straight world. Not long ago I was visiting a sick friend in hospital and was sitting by his bedside when I was messaged on Grindr by a guy who said he was a nurse there and had seen me arrive to visit my friend. He wanted me to meet him in a hospital toilet for oral sex but I politely declined and he then proceeded to tell me my friend would get the worst treatment imaginable. I blocked the nurse and to my surprise when I was next visiting my friend a couple of days later, the same nurse again contacted me from another profile and said I’d been mean to him before but I could make it up to him by agreeing to meet him in the toilet. I again blocked the nurse but 5 minutes later he showed up in the hospital room where I was talking to my friend and then proceeded to make loud clattering and banging noises with a trolly and shoot me dirty looks before causing my friend pain when taking his blood by missing the vein at least 10 times and the whole procedure descending in to a farce. I complained to the hospital via email about the nurse and included screenshots from Grindr (including a picture of the nurse) and a GPS display clearly showing he had been 20 feet away when messaging me but inexplicably the hospital wrote back to say they found no evidence of wrong doing by him and would take no action. On another occasion I witnessed an effeminate gay guy in his 50’s walk in to an elderly lady in her 70’s in a supermarket who was walking with the aid of a stroller. The queen proceeded to tell the elderly lady that her mother would be ashamed of her daughter for not looking where she was going and moving out of his way. I was so stunned at what I witnessed it took me a few moments to process it. 1

Omg, what a horrible situation, I’m so sorry you and your friend had to go through that 1
Afterglow Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Yes. I'm a cheerleader and in the community there's mannyyyy gay guys as coaches, choreographers, teammates etc. I've had coaches I've befriended that literally had it out for most the gays that came to join teams, after tryouts or competitions (even practices) it would be a literal cr*p fest of saying the rudest things you could about them, like a verbal burn book. One time, I fell out with that friend group at my cheer gym and my coach turned on me, made me an "alternate" so I couldn't compete at the biggest event of our season. Would constantly yell and be mean to me all of a sudden. But he was the HBIC in the gym because of his looks and stature in the gym as having winning teams. I ended up leaving and joining another team in a different state.

Gelato Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 (edited) Quite a few. It's actually why I mostly have straight friends at uni now. My own cattiness can come out when I'm with Regina George gays but then I go home and feel bad about it. Whereas if I just socialise with girls and straight guys then I find I'm a much better person I do go to a uni for very privileged/wealthy people though, so they're probably overrepresented here. Once I graduate I'm sure it'll be easier to find nice gay friends Edited December 22, 2023 by Gelato
Kern Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 How could I forget?? a guy posted my nudes on Facebook (!!!) when I was in high school because he ‚likes destroying peoples lives’ (he still has that on Tinder bio) 1
