visions Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Supposedly arriving in Bedford around 2030. Land has been purchased by Universal for $271 million. Confirmed by Universal themselves: Quote “We recently acquired land in Bedford [Borough] and are at the early stages of exploring its feasibility for a potential park and resort at this site. As well as website domains: Lands may include ones which Universal already have the theme parks rights to such as Harry Potter, Jurassic Park/World, and many Dreamworks properties. Rumours are currently suggesting the possibility of a Lord of the Rings section of the park. Jack! Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 It's about time a genuinely respectable theme park team took foot in the UK. Paramount Park/The London Project was such a missed opportunity. Alton Towers/Thorpe Park are good, but definitely lack the feel of immersion some of these larger monopolised companies can create. 2030 though. I understand these things do take time though. 1
Vitaly Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 (edited) Interesting choice. Knowing England have unreliable/unpredictable weather. I'd think twice to visit most likely. I've had bad experience with Disney Paris cos of this same issues (rain) too, despite it was said the best month to visit the city. Don't want to repeat that with this one.
