I this is why she held off tbh. I think she wants to be with her kids and have had a relaxing pregnancy. And if after doing the Super Bowl pregnant and it being lackluster (to me) imagine if she kicked off a whole era and could barely move or perform. I think she wants to give a proper era with a tour and maybe even a few award show performances + other promo. Cause after the next one who knows if she ever drops another album. And I think she knows that.

She can release an actual album with 57 songs that are all 8:55min long with collabs with all my faves. And i will still think it's an early or a late April's fool joke and she'll pull the album any minute from streaming platforms and post " Haha jk" on twitter and posts a new fenty multicoloured mascara.
