21 Savage on Drake as a friend: “describing male friendships is zesty as hell”

Straight men are insane for thinking like this, but honestly so many straight women play into it too, along with all the other gender “norms,” and straight men are worried about appealing to women 24/7.

I hold my tongue to some degree because they’re friends I otherwise very much love, but sometimes when I hear my straight female friends talk about aspects of dating men and how they interpret things from men…

Even just the layers of ideas around when it’s appropriate for the man to pay the entire dinner bill, or when it’s appropriate to go dutch. To be clear, this is in situations where both parties are working full time with comparable salaries.

I can’t imagine spending valuable time and effort thinking about these ******* made up rules about what men and women do. Being gay is freeing in many ways.

And who is asking (or interested in knowing) 21’s take on societal norms and male expression? Just enjoy the music not everything needs to be debated

In the interview it came up unprepared. The interviewer was asking 21 Savage about Drake since they work together a lot and then 21 Savage mentioned it was a “zesty” question, the interviewer defended their question, then 21S and a colleague went off about gender norms.

Where did they mention anything about skin colour? They said felon/dropout/male rapper - unless you’re implying that only black men can be those things? Which says a lot more about your way of thinking. :gayriahcat3:

most male rappers are black and so are most men incarcerated, in america at least. do you think every rapper and every men incarcerated is stupid?

Absolutely not! And I never agreed with what they said, I just didn’t agree with you assuming they were referring solely to black people. But agree to disagree.

Blame the patriarchy. It hurts all of us...the men that stand by it, the women who reinforce it.

Reading that just made me feel physically sick—to think there are people out there, thinking like this. It's no wonder why people think I'm narcissistic. Am I really supposed to give a **** about someone's opinion with a dumb ass mindset like that?

Say you’re an uneducated **** without saying you’re an uneducated ****. That whole exchange was disgusting.
