If Madonna can fly commercial why can't Taylor?

Who cares when she just reached BILLIONAIRE status?

As if Taylor is the only person on earth that is traveling with a ptivate jet. There are lots of businessmen who do overseas trips daily, why don’t people drag them?

She's probably already pre-written her Travis break-up songs with self-victimising lyrics, corny football puns and surface level self-pity about how many miles she had to fly for nothing, so she's committed to the excessive flights and making sure the media see her at every game possible.

Do they seriously think huge artists like Beyonce, or any other huge artist in a big tour are going to the airport and then waiting in the lobby for the next economic flight?

It's been known she's a narcissist. She even sang it in a song.

They all can. Using private jets is actually less safe than flying commercial since we can track jets in real time. It’s about comfort for them.

The private jet thing has always been one of the most hypocritical drama in the stan world. The only difference between Taylor and most of ATRL's favs is that Taylor owns her jets, hence their flights can be constantly tracked/attributed to her, even when she loans them. Celebs normally just rent private jets instead. I'm sorry but y'all are dumb if you don't think your favs are doing the same :rip:

For Eras tour in Latin America, Taylor literally did Buenos Aires - New York - Rio.

Buenos Aires to New York was 20.75 tons of CO2 emissions. New York to Rio 18.79. Total = 39,54 tons of CO2 emissions.

Buenos Aires to Rio would've been = 4.98

An unnecessary total of 34.56.

Because of this one trip that was incredibly easy to avoid, she generated MORE THAN SEVEN times the emissions the average person produces in A YEAR.

NONE of our favs are doing anything even REMOTELY similar to that. Unless our favs are the Kardashians. Which get their lashings as well.

Traveling via private jet is never going to stop and nobody is advocating for that. Taylor's use is immoral. She doesn't GAF because it'll never affect her, but don't use the hypocrisy argument because it's nonsensical.

These articles are so fake, in the sense of them being transparently irrelevant compared to the environmental damage done by so many businesses and corporations out there. If you care about climate change, go after Shell—and other establishments—producing billions of tons of CO2, not Taylor Swift. People are always focused on the bullshit and not what actually matters, which is why this world is in the state that its in. By all means, go after Taylor Swift and leave the real culprits of climate change unscathed.

I can't say I'd give up my private jet if I had one tbh (and I don't think anyone is asking Taylor to stop using it completely) but the argument celebrities can't go to a regular airport for safety reasons is a nonstarter. Airports will happily accommodate VIPs and get them to and from without anyone seeing them besides whoever they're on board with in first class.

The British royal family often flies commercial and their safety concerns are 100x whatever Taylor's are.

Taylor has hordes of people wherever she goes.  We've seen it quite a few times this year at private events, her own home, etc

At her friend Jack Antonoff's rehearsal dinner:

The absolute chaos that would ensue at airports would be.....a lot.

That's not to say that flying private is the only option, but it's tough to find a solution when public safety and logistics come into play.

That said, tons and tons of business people and celebs fly private just as frequently; they just don't get tracked because they don't own their jets, they rent them.  Taylor is one of many. I feel like the air travel industry should come up with some safer options/procedures for people like Taylor who get mobbed wherever they go to be able to fly commercial, and better ways to prevent mayhem from happening.

To be honest, there should be regulations put in place.

Ok, not trying to compare them here.  And that said, I find it hard to believe that Madonna only flew commercial all throughout those years.  There's plenty of pictures of her stepping on/off private jets from a quick google search.  Not holding it against her, just pointing it out.

And on top of that...completely different generation.  With social media these days, news travels instantly and Taylor's location could be spread in an instant.  That's why the streets flooded so quickly in a small New Jersey town at Jack's rehearsal dinner when they were only there a few hours.  So many stars who agree to take pics with fans when they're spotted in public ask them to not post it right away, because they don't want their location shared.

When one of her own fans died in a heatwave amplified by climate change, I thought she might have changed her lifestyle just a little.

Do you really think that Taylor Swift owns no shares in those same businesses and corporations?

Billionaires own a lot of shares.
