I just listened to Solar Power in full for the first time ever earlier today  (It's okay I guess. Very high highs, very low lows).

 

Exctied for what she has in store for the next one!

She’s been way more candid and out for this record. Solar Power had like one letter before release and St Vincent leaking she was coming. My bet is that it’ll be a more fun and hedonistic side of Lorde tbh

Before Lorde announced the album oficially, but very shortly, I believe Annie was promoting her short movie and said to a reporter that Ella was coming really soon, sooner than we thought with new music, out of the blue lol Because of her connection to Jack we figured L3 was on the horizon. Lorde hadn't mentioned the new music in detail yet. Later she came with the letter about the girl we were to meet and we all know the rest lol

 

It's kinda funny because St Vincent herself had new music on the way and was shush about it lol

She should never have cast Joel Little aside and replaced him with Jack in the first place. I view this next album as a return to the creative space she should never have even left.

We did win here, but we knew he wasn't going to be on the new album, when 6 years of Melodrama came up and Lorde posted on her IG stories and someone wasn't mentioned.

 

I wonder if Joel Little is going to be on this album.

He has two credits on Melodrama, one for writing on Green Light and another for production on Supercut.

She did this before Melodrama and Solar Power.

 

The Instagram photo looks like it was shot in some sort of attic.

 

Not sure if that means she is back home in New Zealand, or whether this is somewhere she has been staying in NYC. I'm guessing she wouldn't be staying in New York this late in the year, unless she was close to a major milestone.

 

Perhaps this means she has sign-off from the label and record is being sent to mixing, mastering and vinyl production.

 

Or maybe this is going to be like Melodrama, where we got a major album tease on her birthday in November 2016, major festival announcements early in the new year, single release in March and the album didn't come until June.

 

It turns out that they did a lot of work on Melodrama in the months leading up to the release.

 

This might have happened here too, since she went through a break up during the time she was working on L4, some songs could have been added/deleted.

I think she's still in NYC because she was seen by fans on the street literally last week
