Ugh wish this was in Bogota / Medellin as I'm visiting there next year

Deserved. She has helped so so much here. So many schools and projects since she was like 18 years old.
She's been doin more in the last decades than our disgustin politicians here in Colombia who are corrupt and evil
Millions and Millions of dollars invested.  Not charities for the sake of it.
Si no estoy mal ya ha hecho como 3-4 colegios enormes. 
She's still building schools and supportin so many familiies too and lookin for funding for them 
Tons of kids from poor families are now graduated and with successful careers 


People downplaying Shakira dont know how valuable she is for us........

Generally, the only possibilities today-in the past of becoming a superglobal star are-were if you are born in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia.
Shakira demonstrates that even with the disadvantages of life, we here in the developing world, the third world, can still succeed and move forward.
She's actually the reason why i learned english and im here chillin with you.
She's an inspiration.

Btw this is actually the SECOND statue of her in her hometown. The first one was erected back in the 2000s and stands outside the Estadio Metropolitano.

Don’t forget the pies descalzos foundation building all these schools and giving education to children who wouldn’t have gotten one based on where they lived.
