Tipping aside, I find it crazy how so many people use these delivery services nowadays for almost everything. Yes it's convenient and people have busy lives but I'd rather pick my own produce at the supermarket and get my own fast food so that I know it'll be hot when I get home

All the people in here on the whole "we shouldn't have to tip, business should pay" bullshit lmao

No, tips shouldn't be necessary for someone to survive in a service job, but alas, they are. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to just go to another, better paying job. People in the service industry receive no help from customers in fighting for better wages. Your not tipping doesn't stick it to the business...they don't care. They'll look their employee in the face and say "sorry maybe next time."

If you're out here standing with servers as they try to unionize, actually helping them fight the predatory employers withholding their fair wages, then sure speak on tip culture. If you're not doing all that and yet proudly boasting you don't tip and complaining about tipping, then you're just kind of an *******.

Y’all kill me with the “nobody is obligated to tip, employers should pay their workers” mess. Sure, while that’s true, you also shouldn’t contribute to the exploitation of workers by not fairly compensating them for providing you a service :toofunny3:

I get that tipping is annoying and yes companies should pay their employees a livable wage, but what y'all don't understand is that tipping culture exists whether we like it or not and people like myself (a server) rely on tips to be able to survive. So would it kill you to give a little tip?

I know this is staged but there's no way people actually have a go at customers for not tipping them :rip: Like who's gonna let someone shout at them and then be like "oh you're right, here's $20" :deadbanana2:

If you're working a job where you're performing the direct service in which you were hired to do, I don't believe you're "deserving" of a tip. You're simply doing your job. No one is ever obligated to tip; the worse you can say is that they should have been gracious enough to. I, personally, would have tipped—but she doesn't have a right to be mad at the woman for not tipping. That's unprofessional and, with that attitude, I'd say she absolutely isn't deserving of a tip. If a tip would have been given, it definitely wouldn't have been after that outburst. And I'm the type that would give cash directly to the person, after the service has been performed. I don't tip beforehand.

this "not tipping" culture war drama I think is blown out of proportion.  I've been in the service industry for 28 years and I have yet to encounter this on full scale.  Sure some people don't tip, but vast majority do and it's encouraged if service is great.  It's not going to go out of style in our lifetime.  Imagine working at Ruth's Chris and no one tips. Like that clientele just isn't the type to not tip.  Companies aren't going to do away with tips and fork over their own profits to pay more.  Plus there would be no incentive for any employee to go above and beyond.  If I knew I wasn't going to be tipped I would do the most basic required work and that's it.  And that's not going to happen anytime soon in America.

Y'all realize these are skits that are purposely produced to drive division and hate.
