Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign were set to release their joint album "Vultures" today but the release never arrived. Earlier today, Kanye sent a text message to Nicki to ask permission for clearing their collaboration "New Body", which was supposed to be on the album.

 

Nicki seemed to have addressed the situation on her Instagram live a few hours ago:

Yeah. I feel he last minute decided to not include it on his old album (after making her re-write her verse 3 times and shoot a music video) and then brushed her off regarding it multiple times after and now she’s doing the same to him for payback most likely. Takes balls lol

He drug her through the mud! Had her doing 50,000 versions of the song , gospel and etc to just shelve it and then pops back up. I think good for her for standing her ground with these rap dudes. It always seemed like they got a pass but now she’s tired

I don’t think it’s payback more that she has an album to promote and if this song goes viral, which it definitely will, it will take away the shine from her album.
