US: CSTF! tops 3m; first 3m-seller since Hello in 2015

Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” tops the 3 million mark in digital sales this week. The feel-good smash debuted at No. 1 and won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

I wonder if this will be the last 3M seller ever since even 10 weeks #1s struggle to reach 2M nowadays..

wtf. I haven't really visited this forum in like 2 years since the 1989 era cooled off, and I haven't kept up with US sales at all. First 3 million seller? Have sales really tanked this hard? :dies: I remember top songs used to sell 4-6 million in the US

Yep, #5 peaking hits in 2011 would sell 2 million easily. Most of the hits usually ended in 4 to 6 million range.

Sales declined 12% in 2014, 12% in 2015, and 25% last year
