perpetual novice Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 This has been Paramore's position after every album they have ever released, ever. There has never been a guaranteed "next paramore album" when any one of them comes out tbh. 4 3
Saint James Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 why would they post it like that blackpink 2.0
Beyonnaise Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Huh? Why did they post it like that, and what about Eras next year? 1 2
Psyduck Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 They haven't had a hit since Obama's second term so makes sense. Karma for bullying and stealing from Olivia. 1 2 3 27
RihannaLoverrr Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 They better still be the openers for my Eras tour date omg 3
Carry My Heart Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I assume their Eras opening spot isn't considered an obligation to the label but the promoter
Dolce Vita Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 i need them to drop the indie pop cosplay and serve brand new eyes 2.0 first before disbanding 2 2
wish Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 This band is constantly on the verge of breaking up what is going on
Yoko Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 i didn’t love this is why tbh i need them to come back to after laughter or self titled sound 2
lillavend3r Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 They were always gonna release while being signed, now the Atlantic contract is over so I feel like this is the end fr
PoisonedIvy Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Yeah their history is eternally tumultuous so this is no surprise
Ewan Chaos Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I didn't get disbanding teas from that tbh but the "uncertainty" line certainly is a fair assessment of that I assume that means they'll either be independent or resign but as a three-piece band instead of just Hayley being the only one with an official contract or however tf that worked.
uusagii Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 The way they phrased it, like they're writing a novel or something, is so annoying
Bimbo Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Is there like couples therapy but for a band… they need that 1

Jooj Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Hmmm i think this means theyre independent now? Them being "uncertain" about the band's future is something that has been going on since 2013 lol Either way i thought After Laughter would be their final record so This is Why being released + them remaining active for the entirety of 2023 is profiting enough.
ariananext Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 They need to confirm they're still opening Eras

lavenderblo Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 This Is Why was a fairly solid album after I wasn't a huge fan of their sound for a bit there, but let's see what happens.
JoeAg Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I don’t understand how they went from their two best albums to the (mostly) inoffensive mess of This Is Why tbh… they peaked with self-titled, a true masterpiece I digress. this message gives the vibe that they’re (at long last) going independent, but as others have said there’s been uncertainty about the relative “next” for them ever since self-titled lol 1 1
Technicolor Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 This is the full quote Spoiler "As for the future of Paramore, all three members agreed that there’s a level of uncertainty. But one thing’s for sure — they’re still going to be together, and they’re still going to keep having fun. “The only thing that matters is we will still get to be each other's community,” Williams says. Farro agrees: “I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world.” And wherever they end up, the massive community of fans Paramore has cultivated will be here for them, too.
