Paramore end "contractual obligations", disbanding?

This has been Paramore's position after every album they have ever released, ever. There has never been a guaranteed "next paramore album" when any one of them comes out tbh.

why would they post it like that :rip: blackpink 2.0

Huh? Why did they post it like that, and what about Eras next year? :deadbanana:

They haven't had a hit since Obama's second term so makes sense. Karma for bullying and stealing from Olivia.

I assume their Eras opening spot isn't considered an obligation to the label but the promoter :michael:

i need them to drop the indie pop cosplay and serve brand new eyes 2.0 first before disbanding :WAP:

They were always gonna release while being signed, now the Atlantic contract is over so I feel like this is the end fr

Yeah their history is eternally tumultuous so this is no surprise :rip:

I didn't get disbanding teas from that tbh but the "uncertainty" line certainly is a fair assessment of that :rip: I assume that means they'll either be independent or resign but as a three-piece band instead of just Hayley being the only one with an official contract or however tf that worked.

The way they phrased it, like they're writing a novel or something, is so annoying :skull:

Is there like couples therapy but for a band… they need that :rip:

Hmmm i think this means theyre independent now? Them being "uncertain" about the band's future is something that has been going on since 2013 lol

Either way i thought After Laughter would be their final record so This is Why being released + them remaining active for the entirety of 2023 is profiting enough.

They need to confirm they're still opening Eras :cries:

This Is Why was a fairly solid album after I wasn't a huge fan of their sound for a bit there, but let's see what happens.

I don’t understand how they went from their two best albums to the (mostly) inoffensive mess of This Is Why tbh… they peaked with self-titled, a true masterpiece

I digress. this message gives the vibe that they’re (at long last) going independent, but as others have said there’s been uncertainty about the relative “next” for them ever since self-titled lol

This is the full quote

Spoiler

"As for the future of Paramore, all three members agreed that there’s a level of uncertainty. But one thing’s for sure — they’re still going to be together, and they’re still going to keep having fun. “The only thing that matters is we will still get to be each other's community,” Williams says. Farro agrees: “I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world.” And wherever they end up, the massive community of fans Paramore has cultivated will be here for them, too.
