For certain Type 2 diabetics, Ozempic (semaglutide) is an amazing drug. It’s just that it’s being abused by the people who don’t need it.

Huge side eye to anyone who has to use diabetic medication do have a nice body instead of eating right and working out.

It’s all over TikTok and also advertised by so many “hot” influencers about losing weight, not surprised that people are abusing it unfortunately.  just try dieting or exercise more if you need to lose weight. People nowadays think they can fix everything with a little injection or a pill

The article reports a 1500% increase since 2019. What’s the percentage increase of people using the drug? Without that detail this statistic is meaningless. 
 

Especially since the article says most of the calls were due to patient overdosage. People failing to take medicine correctly is a common concern not unique to this drug.
