I was struggling to find memorable EPs out this year but Hemlocke and Ice Spice really came through! Unfortunately I don't get much mileage out of the Newjeans EP, I prefer Pinkpantheress' output this year over it no shadeee. Love the banner btw then you'll be satisfied with the rest of the revelations
TRF. Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Hemlocke Springs, George Riley, NewJeans, FLO Need to listen to the DEELA EP on full!

In the meantime, they treated us to a surprise EP with anticipated tracks and solid singles like the title track. This EP sees them slowly moving out of the Y2K R&B box in favor of making some of the best contemporary R&B tracks in recent memory. oh wow I don't know this #1, I have to check them out
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 The way i really enjoy I'VE MINE more that their debut album. It showcase more of their personality more to me and they kinda chose better songs rather than a bunch of fillers to fit the quota Aespa is back with their quality with MY WORLD, Ice Spice & NewJeans releasing fun music this year and FLO still hasn't release their album yet. I won and i lost at the same time my goodness
K$Ellie Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I gotta get into the FLO ep nnn, how did their career get so derailed Get Up was a moment in history My World was full of bangers too, best EPs of the year for sure Ice's ep was really cute, the re-release was overkill tho I heard George open for Kelela and the songs sounded better in person tbh

ARTPØP Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Never listened to any of these EPs tbh Have heard of New Jeans tho! I'm going to be adding it to my list to check out

Ewan Chaos Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I've heard good things about that George Riley EP, need to check it out! That write-up for FLO... probably will need to check that out too. I also enjoyed Hemlocke, NewJeans, and Ice

Remmy Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Only heard 2 of these EPs... and it's the top 2! I really couldn't get into NewJeans until they dropped Ditto, so this was such a big improvement in my eyes. Meanwhile FLO... didn't do much for me this time around and The Lead was my 2022 EP of the Year. Like idk it was still cute, just forgettable.
BlackoutZone Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 The EPs choices so good, the TAEMIN one so underrated I kinda snubbed 3 of Us on my list, but it was very solid, loved all 3 (4) songs I also need to check out George Riley asap cause I know I'm gonna stan

worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 lemme get these singles ready
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 HONORABLE MENTION BABY - AYA NAKAMURA The Queen of France began the year with a new hit and a new album. Baby joins a long list of certified Aya-serves like Djadja, Pookie, Doudou Jolie nana, and more. However it felt like the era ended her (literally a week after the new year) so while Baby is an immaculate song and DNK is a great album, they join Honorable Mention Heaven
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 at number forty-five, we have a HIT from one of KPOPs most exciting revelations... 45. BADDIE - IVE IVE have continued to prove to the world that they know how to make excellent pop music. Hyperpop'd IVE is not something I expected but its so catchy IT GIRLS!
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 at number forty-four we have the queen of solos 44. FLOWER - JISOO I really don't like how y'all like to play in queensoo's face. She delivered a HIT with stunning visuals, cute midtempo production, and a catchy pre chorus. Flower's kind of tugging on SOLO's wig for the number one spot.
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 at number forty-three, we have an underrated hit 43. BONGOS - CARD B & MEGAN THEE STALLION Y'all hate fun. Y'ALL. HATE. FUN. Was this going to top WAP? maybe not. Was this supposed to? NO. Was it also released at the wrong time? Well, YES. I thought this would have been a perfect summer hit. It's fresh, fun, and unique for Cardi and Megan (who ATE her verse btw).
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 at number forty-two, we have the lead single that could have been 42. FLY GIRL (FEAT. MISSY ELLIOTT) - FLO I have no idea why Island/Republic gave up on this like it isn't their highest peaking song to date... I feel like there could have been a better promo schedule but that is besides the point. Be that as it may, the single is still excellent they did the damn thing and the Missy co-sign is everything.
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 41. JERSEY - BABY TATE In a perfect world, Nicki would have properly co-signed Baby Tate and in the peak of this jersey-club revival we're currently living in, this would have been a fun top ten. But we sadly don't like in that world. Baby Tate has had a few misses but this track is surely a HIT!
worldwide angel Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 40. SMOKE (FEAT LUCKY DAYE) - VICTORIA MONET The perfect lead to an immaculate album, people's opinions were somewhat lukewarm towards the track but its always been excellent to me. That outro? #REALMUSICISBACK
