After releasing their biggest hit to date and 

venturing on their first American tour, FLO 

seemingly retreated to the studios, intensively 

working on their debut album. In the meantime, 

they treated us to a surprise EP with anticipated

tracks and solid singles like the title track. This EP

sees them slowly moving out of the Y2K R&B 

box in favor of making some of the best 

contemporary R&B tracks in recent memory.

The way i really enjoy I'VE MINE more that their debut album. It showcase more of their personality more to me and they kinda chose better songs rather than a bunch of fillers to fit the quota

 

Aespa is back with their quality with MY WORLD, Ice Spice & NewJeans releasing fun music this year and FLO still hasn't release their album yet. I won and i lost at the same time my goodness

Get Up was a moment in history   My World was full of bangers too, best EPs of the year for sure

Ice's ep was really cute, the re-release was overkill tho  I heard George open for Kelela and the songs sounded better in person tbh

i've mine was really good but i slightly prefer i've ive bc it has hypnosis   as for the rest, i wholeheartedly agree

i think the label was banking on fly girl being a bigger hit than it was but hopefully they got something even better next year  

get up is exquisite  and yeah i like the standard version of like...? more than the deluxe (the whole deluxe EP trend is 

off-putting to me) 

and i did not know george opened for kelela until recently wow

Only heard 2 of these EPs... and it's the top 2!  I really couldn't get into NewJeans until they dropped Ditto, so this was such a big improvement in my eyes. Meanwhile FLO... didn't do much for me this time around  and The Lead was my 2022 EP of the Year. Like idk it was still cute, just forgettable.

I kinda snubbed 3 of Us on my list, but it was very solid, loved all 3 (4) songs

so while Baby is an immaculate song and DNK 

is a great album, they join Honorable Mention

Y'all hate fun. Y'ALL. HATE. FUN. Was this 

going to top WAP? maybe not. Was this

at the wrong time? Well, YES. I thought

this would have been a perfect summer

hit. It's fresh, fun, and unique for Cardi 

and Megan (who ATE her verse btw).

42. FLY GIRL (FEAT. MISSY ELLIOTT) - FLO 

 

 

I have no idea why Island/Republic gave up on this 

like it isn't their highest peaking song to date... I

feel like there could have been a better promo

schedule but that is besides the point. Be that 

as it may, the single is still excellent  

they did the damn thing and the Missy co-sign

is everything.

41. JERSEY - BABY TATE 

 

 

In a perfect world, Nicki would have properly 

co-signed Baby Tate and in the peak of this 

jersey-club revival we're currently living in, 

this would have been a fun top ten. But we 

sadly don't like in that world. Baby Tate

has had a few misses but this track is

surely a HIT!

40. SMOKE (FEAT LUCKY DAYE) - VICTORIA MONET 

 

 

The perfect lead to an immaculate album, people's

opinions were somewhat lukewarm towards the track

but its always been excellent to me. That outro?
