Why are people who’ve been saying she’s over for years acting surprised by the numbers?

yeah these numbers don’t look great especially considering how much barbz & nicki were hyping this album up

she seems to be doing well on apple music though so there’s that

Nicki peers are Kesha, Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, Katy, Gaga. I probably forget a lot of others pop artists are now very far away from these numbers.

 

Chromatica made in the Us 12.5M on spotify (3.3M with ariana e blackpink songs). So this is better especialy with a way greater numbers on AM.

 

 

These numbers for an artist in the pop scene from 15 years it's good. Taylor and Beyoncè are two expections. 

 

Just because she's cringe and create expectations are out of reach doesn't change what the big picture is. And I hated this album.

Let’s try to use our brains for a second. Queen opened with 15M and still debuted with 185k, so reaching those numbers that wouldn’t be THAT far-fetched. We’ll have to see what happens.
