What's wrong with what she said? :skull: She writes her own stuff and that's her opinion.

Put yourself in her shoes, how would you feel if someone covered a song that you poured your heart and soul into?

Adele puts cover songs on her albums. It’s obtuse of her of all people to misrepresent the intent of a cover. She’s become a cardboard cutout cliche since going hollywood.

Someone should tell her fav, Celine Dion! Many of the best singers don't write their own songs.

she doesnt admire Beyonce as a singer tho, more of a performer like the sing and dance part

The way you just straight made that up. :rip: Meanwhile, in reality, she attempted to cover "Dangerously in Love" and admitted that she had no chance in hell because she could not sing like Beyoncé can.

Another day, another innocuous quote from a woman in media that her obsessed haters will twist and use against her because they're bored, jobless and sad!

No she didn’t, she only disparaged anyone that cared to cover a song of hers.

She wanted to sound unique but she kinda failed imo

The best part is she’s the one approving people to cover her music on TV! She’s the songwriter so it has to be approved lol.

She’s right. Everytime someone covers her songs they just come off as X factor contestants. They just can’t do it as good as she does.

I understand what she's saying but I've always objected to this notion that you can't properly emote on a song you didn't write. You might not have had exactly the same experience as the person writing it but it's possible to relate to lyrics in a song so you can sing them as if they have meaning to you too.

Literally some of the best recordings of all time are covers:

She doesn’t think anyone should sing her songs because they probably do it better
