willmcclure9 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 The way i have been so traumatised by Taylors versions i expected all these new mixes and rerecordings to be almost identical to the originals.... but i was WRONG Travelling, Hikari, Sakura Drops, Addicted To You Mother came through as always. Need Bad Mode 2.0 with AG and Sam ASAP!!! 1 1
VENUSWAVE Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I fear we might need a full newly mixed version of the entirety of DEEP RIVER, some songs certainly need it 1
4Walls Posted April 10 Posted April 10 (edited) An actual great best of album and the new mixes are fantastic Only annoyance is that she really did Ulta Blue wrong…….like why would u snub ur best album like that Edited April 10 by 4Walls
robbyds Posted April 10 Posted April 10 It's only April but album of the year is on lock with Science Fiction I fear 1
Kirby Kirbs Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Traveling re-recording is crazyyyyy. haven't stopped dancing since last night 2

popmusicisdead Posted April 10 Posted April 10 first listen and whew. i love Deep River to pieces but that album did not age well at all. all of the new mixes feel correct. the 光 re-recording only complaint is Beautiful World. it's too bass heavy. it's in my Top 3 Hikki songs i wish they could've mixed it better 1
Gogetonthebus Posted April 10 Posted April 10 she went absolutely nuts on these re-recordings. Hikari, Goodbye Happiness, traveling, wheewwwww i could go on. 2

Fleabag Posted April 10 Posted April 10 My limited edition CD just arrived and it's amazing. It's possibly the biggest CD case I've ever seen and it's so pretty! The cover art is lenticular and changes colors when you move it. The booklet inside is also huge and has more photos from the shoot with the really colorful background. Overall I'm really happy I got this, it's so cool! 6
Reginald Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) SAKURA Drops, the beauty you are Deep River and Ultra Blue are such nostalgia trips for me. I am loving this Science Fiction era. The fresh mixes, the upgraded videos.. What a time to be an Utada fan Edited April 11 by Reginald 5
Rhyme Posted April 11 Posted April 11 After careful consideration, COLORS (2024 mix) is my favorite out of the new mixes. It just sounds so futuristic, foreboding, and a little spooky now. 4

concubine Posted April 12 Posted April 12 The Harajuku pop up is absolutely giving.. i will post some photos soon! The promo is insane, her team is going all in 3 1
Graves Posted April 12 Posted April 12 It's the Prisoner of Love Mix for me. The way that song peels back more layers every time you listen eternal bop! Letters, COLORS, Goodbye Happiness coming alive too The re-recordings are nice to have but I dunno, I don't see myself going back to any of them over their original forms. 3

The promo is insane, her team is going all i it was a fun exhibition. Outside of the building, Travelling 2024 is playing on loop 24/7 down the entire main street. The building had two floors. The first floor had a huge monitor playing her mvs, 10 ipad and headphone setups for people to listen to her on Apple Music. They had the outfits she was wearing for the sci fi shoot on display! And a big ass table with all her physical studio albums for purchase in form of vinyls and cds! On the second floor, you could queue up for two things: you could write a letter/message on an ipad with a pen that would appear on a big screen, it was really cute. My favorite was the green screen studio where they would take a picture as you as the sci fi album cover! I waited 20ish mins each for both, i was surprised at how packed the exhibition was! There were also some more outfits and dresses on display, even though they were all from her most recent eras. It was all really cute and decorated nicely but outside of the popup they are really going ham, i forgot how relevant she is still.. she's on every giant billboard and monitor display getting this album promoted! its a good time to be an utada fan period Edited April 14 by concubine 4
