Hector Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Citing sources, Bloomberg reports that the deal, which it says includes the acquisition of the Latin superstar’s recorded music catalog, is ‘valued at nine figures’ and that it includes his ‘entire catalog to date’. Influence Media says in a press release that, in addition to “partnering on the rights management of [his] recordings spanning the length of his professional career”, the partnership also includes Enrique Iglesias’ Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights “to expand future licensing opportunities”. truthteller Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 daddy wants to cash out his pension funds so badly and he deserves every coin he made (minus that cash grab tour)
BrokenMachine Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Also, Enrique has been dragged since the start of his career for his 'not-so-great' vocals. The TikTok videos just put that stuff into light for the younger generation Edited December 6, 2023 by BrokenMachine 1
poki Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 He had SUCH a run of modern classics. His performances are a mess and music doesn't make bank anymore for 99% of artists so this us his best shot of setting up further financial security for his kids' future generations. 3

Triton Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Good for him! About to be 50 and can do whatever he wants, still be famous and tour when he wants.

This, like I don't get why people are sooooo shocked when artists decide to sell their music rights for 9 figures, like that is a best case scenario. If I were Enrique, Katy, Justin etc I'd cash out too, it's not like they can't still tour etc. 1
