Has it ever occurred to you that she choose to stand with Black Lives Matter because she's a black person in America and it affects her? And do you know that she hasn't earned much from The Gift and Black Is King and yet she choose to do those projects to celebrate her African roots, even though it was costing her? Or are you claiming that those projects are successful? I do agree that she knows how to pick her battles, because she picks those that affect her or her family.

She says She is apolitical cause her movie talks about Aids but at the Moment She talks about her uncle She doesn't specifically say he died for Aids. So for this the movie became apolitical (?????). Maybe She didn't Say for privacy and anyways how this make the moment less important.

the reviewer is obviously mad that the movie is being shown in israel (which is fair, i guess) but bringing up her uncle’s death is just distasteful

Right, but she then went on to promotional campaigns for blood diamonds and perform for human-rights violations oil barons. Yes, she has done some good deeds, that's great.
