I've been a fan since his Vine days, and how he acts now is really not out of the ordinary. He's been a spiritual hippie type for years, it's only just in the last few years become so visible in his public presentation. As for him not being seen much that also isn't uncommon. Part of why his fans were so frustrated in the Camila era is the exposure because he never used to be as public and seen all the time as when he was with her. He's naturally fairly private so him not being seen out and about a lot now is very much what it was like pre-Camila.
