Usually hate Deuxmoi, but following Shawn the last year it's all believable to me, espeically considering:

• His tour cancellation due to his declining mental health

Perfect storm for a money hungry hollywood cult to take advantage of a mentally vulnerable boy, and

• His friends won't stop him cuz they're all on his payroll, & don't need to work.
• His stans continue to baby him, & somehow blame this on Camila.

He's been pictured hanging out with members & multiple "head gurus" of the Modern Mystery School

In the comments they say it’s just a theory from Shawn’s fans. I wouldn’t be surprised though.
 

For years it’s seemed like 80% of the people he surrounds himself are spiritual/happiness gurus with linktrees full of things they’re peddling (their church, a pdf on the secret to being happy, etc.)

But any sane Shawn stan would notice what u said above. It's mostly since the Wonder era where the spiritual thing got exaggerated. Then he cancelled his tour & it got 10X worse. Before that he was never close to being THIS hippie

I would not be surprised tbh. Shawn has been on a "spiritual journey" for a while now, and those that do not find themselves in a good place in life are often most vulnerable to get themselves sucked into behive-mind bs. 

 

Plus everyone has been saying for a while now that Shawn surrounds himself with ppl that are absolute grifters.

They have the millions to seek all the professional help they can get so yes, it is embarrassing for them if they choose to join cults. It's a conscious decision and I'm not naive enough to believe they were "tricked" or "manipulated" into doing so.

Why do I feel like this is starting to become common? Like super common. I hope he's doing OK. I've always felt for Shawn... he seems like someone who has trauma he's never worked through and that's not me being shady.

Nobody chooses to join a cult willingly, they are manipulated into it. 

The truth is that talking to a psychiatrist takes a lot of effort and if you take it seriously, you might end up learning things that scare and unnerve you. It's that much easier to be swayed by manipulative love-bombing yes-men from any number of cults as a celebrity when your career is failing, you have bad press or your celebrity status is otherwise a huge detriment to your well-being.

I don’t think that part is a secret though. Shawn and celebrities like him talk about the industry being very isolating and how it’s hard to feel anyone is genuine since people in the industry are always after something.
These church-cults then recruit celebrities by creating the most genuine places where everyone is open. They’re relieved to find places where people aren’t looking to get something out of them, where someone is real enough to cry in front of them and not worry about the usual industry ****. A lot of them just want community and think they finally found that, not realizing it was just designed to feel perfect to people like them.

i mean miley has been working almost consistently nonstop since she was like what 13? (pre-hannah montana gigs)

shes done her thing, if she wanted to retire early, why not?

as for shawn, i think hes just stuck and wants to think things through before continuing but also we're not in his vicinity to know whats happening
