He didn't "reveal" anything. He only mentioned something that was by then already a global public information (revealed by the Dutch version of the book) but was still prohibited in England. 

 

So the only thing Piers did is breach the domestic British censorship laws — believing the government wouldn't dare sue him... something other Brit media outlets avoid for fear of reputation damage. Piers is not afraid of that cuz he unlike the others he doesn't have to worry about losing credibility and status.... since he ain't got none.
