She's an Urban Music star. She has street creed. If she were pop only she would have less appeal i think. She appeals to gays and straight women-men. Reggaeton is just everywhere in Latinoamerica. Is the Staple Music since 2 decades ago. All the clubs here play reggaeton. In school. Streets. Is just everywhere and shes the queen of the genre.   
she's also really humble and i been noticing how she has some sort of parasocial relationship with her fans. 
She's a big friend with them and treat them real nice. Not surprised about this huge fame. 

She really deserves her success. Someone with a golden heart  
I used to dislike her but after seeing how kind and sweet she's to everyone is just lovely.
