Mire Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I wasn't expecting to like it this much, but seriously, she did it. It was fun, absurd, and I went "Noo!" when it ended cause it felt like we were starting... 1

I needed at least one more song and see more about her happy ending 1
rafacog Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Do we know if this is eligible for best long form music video at the Grammys?

My Tears Ricochet Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Just finished watching it. I was smiling through out. It's so good to watch her onscreen. My favorite parts were her stumbling across tiny Jenny and dancing in the rain with the hummingbird. Wish we had more of her and Ben. Post Malone was my favorite Zodiac council member You can tell she's put so much thought and effort into this and it really paid off. Loved it
FantasyRide Posted February 17 Posted February 17 This was so much fun I didn’t want it to end. It was visually stunning, kind of unhinged and had a lot of heart to it. It has a lot of rewatchability to me, I can see myself putting it on again very soon.
Nashe Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Finally got to watch it. It was so beautiful and heartfelt. I wish it didn't end that quickly aswell, but the dancing in the rain scene was the perfect ending. True joy you find within yourself will attract the most beautiful things in life. I'm a huge fan of Dave Meyers music videos, so I knew the cinematography would be out of this world and it really was! If this is really her last musical piece then she's really retiring (musically) with a bang. I love the album so much, it's even way better than the movie itself. 1
StarsAllAligned Posted February 18 Posted February 18 The trailer was confusing and I don’t remember much but I’ve liked every JLO film I’ve ever watched so can someone tell me the plot. What is this supposed to be about? Before I decide to watch.

Yes she can. Beyonce's "Black is King" received a nod, and J.Lo's film is kinda similar to it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Award_for_Best_Music_Film
Ramooon Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I've seen this 3 times already. Probably gonna watch it few more times, the movie/album gets better each time! 1

It’s the only chance she has to ever win one and I know that it’d mean so much for her

Mordecai Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Finally got around to watching this and I didn't really like it tbh I think it's moreso because I hate musicals rather than it being a reflection of the film itself - I was disappointed that all the songs weren't featured as that's what I was expecting Great production value but I wish the CGI was a little more realistic looking. I'm not sure whether it was a stylistic choice or not (or maybe budget) but I got more of a video game vibe than a film which took me out of the film at times Criticism aside, massive props to JLo for having the courage to take the risk and finance and produce this all on her own and have it come out looking like this, super super impressive and I hope it becomes a success for her (looking good so far!)
Inverted Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I honestly went in watching it with low expectations and expecting the usual J.Lo romcom cheesiness, but I loved it. I thought it was really heartfelt and the film won me over at the end where she goes to the wedding that is NOT hers and finally learns to be happy on her own. I thought it was going to be about how she goes through all these relationships to finally find true love (and obviously that's a factor), but my takeaway was that the overall message was about self love. She said her dream as a child was to fall in love like in the movies, but at the end she finally realizes that that love she's looking for needs to be for herself first.
