umich Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx faces sexual assault and battery charges in a lawsuit dated Monday. The alleged incident occurred in a New York City restaurant in 2015, according to a complaint obtained by CNN. https://variety.com/2023/film/news/jamie-foxx-sexual-assault-lawsuit-1235806255/amp/ The woman, identified in the suit as Jane Doe, alleges that Foxx took her to a secluded corner of the Catch NYC rooftop lounge, rubbed her breasts and groped her under her pants against her will. According to the suit, the woman and a friend were seated at a table next to Foxx and Mark Birnbaum, the owner of the bar. At around 1 a.m., the woman’s friend got up and asked Foxx for a photo. Foxx agreed, and they took several photos. Foxx began complimenting the plaintiff, according to the suit, saying “Wow, you have that super model body” and “You smell so good.” The suit also states that he said she looked like Gabrielle Union. Graphic: She alleges that he then took her by the arm and led her to a more secluded part of the rooftop, where he groped her breasts underneath her crop top. The suit states that she was caught off guard and tried to step away, but that Foxx then stuck his hands down her pants and “put his fingers on and in Plaintiff’s ****** and anus.” 1

ShouldersSideways Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 The statute of limitations for the Adult Survivors Act runs out at midnight in NYC so I wouldn't be surprised if we see more in the next few hours. Cuba Gooding Jr, Jimmy Iovine, and Axl Rose have been accused today as well.

PoisonCandy Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Mr. "blame it on the alcohol" being accused of sexual assault? Shocking. 1
Bears01 Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Innocent until proven guilty, but if he’s guilty, lock him up
fijitears Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 This anti-black loser is finally getting exposed for being an even more weirdo. Lock him up and put him under the jail

Sucks that it’s even expiring and if we’re to take it further, there shouldn’t even be a statute of limitations for violent or sex crimes. But that is for another discussion. OT: Justice for the victims.

Geraldine Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 excure my ignorance, but how can you prove something from 2015 happened without evidence? NOT saying she lied at all, just wondering 1
Raiden Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Axl Rose, Jimmy Iovine, Jamie Foxx, Cuba Gooding junior, Terry Richardson... Jesus. They're really coming after them. But all of them are lawsuits. I don't get it. How is a civil suit a deterrent against not just sexual abuse but rape? The men get sued, pay money (for something that in my opinion belongs in a criminal trial) and walk free. This is a substitute for justice — and therefore a perversion of justice in my book. It comes down to the privileged "paying" a fee for rape and harassment — fees and fines are nothing but regular "cost of doing business" for the ultra wealthy and their corporations.
barbiegrande Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Now this situation requires more info. Im not taking a Jane Doe accusation for face value. But hope the truth comes out either way 2

But hope the truth comes out either way Jane Doe lawsuits are done because this is an intimately personal matter and someone may not want her name out there against a hugely popular celebrity. We've seen what happens to women who come forward and how people will make it their mission to destroy them and their reputations. It doesn't lessen the severity or credibility of the lawsuit at all. 1
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 If true, then I applaud her for doing something about it. If that happened to me I would be so ashamed of myself, even when it’s not my fault, and would try to take it to my grave. He’s a superstar anyway, what could you even do about it I understand giving these men benefits of the doubt when an anonymous woman accuses some men of this, but it’s just turns out to be true more often that not.
C-Amber Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Innocent till proven guilty. I just hope whoever the victim in this situation her or him will have their justice.

The woman sued for assault and the case, out of no where was “dropped”. It’s said that behind closed doors the victim and him eventually reached a hefty settlement after she’d publicly retract her statement, and Jamie would go on to act as though he’s threatening to sue back and do all the theatrics to clear any suspicions. I can’t remember the year to all of this, but his PR team scrubs the internet of anything scandalous pertaining to him, it’s sick. I bet many people didn’t even know or remember the scandal I said above because it was kept under wraps THAT much, and even today, it’s hard to find a thorough article on it. It’s quite difficult to find any problematic stuff he said or done because his PR team and cleaners makes sure that it doesn’t reach the surface of the internet by all means necessary. The blinds and insiders spill everything though, and everything done in the dark eventually comes to light Edited November 23, 2023 by fijitears
