Actually I get what she means and I notice her voice through the whole original version. When it was released I didn't care about the 'no solo' for Lana and actually loved the concept of Lana's voice being layered with Taylor's since I could actually notice it, unlike most stans

we all did notice her, everyone was complaining cause it felt like she was relegated to background vocals. even the casual listeners/youtube reactors were like, why doesn't she have a proper verse? lana keeps doing that with her "collabs" and refuses to understand that people want to hear her have her moment. it's almost like she doesn't wanna take up too much space on other people's songs but like girl... i understand where she's coming from but if someone asks you for a collab and the fans see your name on the song, we expect you to show up fully. not half assed.

i dont think she meant a full solo version. i think she sang it whole as a background vocal and got layered back and taylor sang on top of her vocals and that’s the version exists
