This, Saltburn and The Holdovers were/are my most anticipated films for award season so I cannot wait to finally watch this in December :wanda:

So this is a twist on the story of Mary Kay Letourneau and her victim/former student/(ex)husband Vili Fualaau :celestial5: I've listened to her story a few times to through various podcasts and documentaries. I'm unsure about the addition of Natalie Portman's character rather than telling their story as it was.

Seems like this will be another movie depicting an uncomfortable relationship/SA which goes into the complexities of what could draw someone to that while still showing the ugly reality but the imbecilic art police on Twitter who claim to be progressive (and only ever see things through a black and white lens) will say the director and actors and endorsing and platforming pdf files just by showing it.

I saw it on Friday and it’s excellent. One of portmans best. Melton was the biggest surprise for me cuz he’s as good as the reviews say.

Nah. Cuz it’s not about that’s it’s only a part of the story… it’s literally about Natalie doing research for her role playing Julianne. Kinda like a satire on method acting and how far actors can go for a role.

Charles Melton deserves an Oscar nomination for this. He’s incredible.
