A 75 year old grandpa being stuck in the last generation is not reflective of anything,

Just like if your grandpa is raving about Barbara Streisand, you wouldn’t think she’s more iconic than Britney either.

Yeah you're right, who cares about Whitney Houston.. We have Demi Lovato!!!!

So you’re saying Brittney spears compared to Barbara Streisand equals to Demi lovato compared to Whitney Houston? Got it

Not that famous with the GP in her own country. The amount of smoke and mirrors her fanbase has used.

Whenever i see your username, i can't stop myself and think about your iconic post from the Witness Tour thread for a second.

I just wanted to check it again for a good laugh

Enjoy your fave's post-peak tour milking the momentum of her peak. Her tour will do well like BTW:B, PWT,... did well. Once the GP not only let the singles drop faster than rockets speeding down to the ground, her next tour would struggle to find 100 million dollar and sell out single arena dates in the US like everyone else. Because it takes her base and supporters a few years to realise that it isn't worth it to support her, to spend on her,... We have seen other tours experiencing sharp decline and soon it's your fave's tour. It's a matter of time. Without being established in 10+ non-English-speaking European countries, she is the most vulnerable of the pop girls. More vulnerable than Janet to the whims of the fickle Americans and they have decided to throw her out like Meghan was only used for 1 pop era.

Katy isn't doing that bad during the era she alienated the conservative half of America and made the liberal half of America angry too. We expect -75% losses and she managed to limit it to -50% losses in the US while she grew in attendance, ticket price,... in Amsterdam, France,...

We are looking at somewhere between $120M and $142M.

Can you tell us more about smoke and mirrors and her next tour, maybe we would have few more posts to laugh few years from now on

Britney really is the first name that comes to mind when it comes to music, huh? She really has that power.

She when you have 25 years of hits...you become embedded in pop culture.

They are both iconic in different ways.

Yes, because she performed with a snake and kissed Madonna in some MTV awards :irate:

I know there's not a fanbase up on here flexing about an 81 year old man getting their faves tour name correct.

Not this being a win...:lakitu:

Do these people believe Biden can name three songs off that album/tour.

In 100 years Britney will be remembered but Taylor will be lost

to history, simply because she is too vanilla and unremarkable. She’s massive, but not very memorable.

:dies: I see this kind of post-apocalyptic wasteland fantasies from older act fans so many times

Britney was doing soulless pop songs like everyone else too you know? Just cus max Martin woke up from bed with his best concept for Britney compared to his other clients, doesn’t mean their hits would be more remembered after a nuclear winter or 300 years.

The nerve to think even in 2018 that Taylor would downgrade to arena levels, let alone fail to outsell them…

Fast-forward to now, and she's doing multiple stadiums shows in 10 non-English-speaking European countries. Very vulnerable indeed.

Billboard Top Year-End Artist of…

… 2009: Taylor Swift

… 2023: Taylor Swift

These Americans are indeed very fickle. Maybe they'll finally have made up their mind on Taylor in another 14 years.

I guess some people are just pros at making up fake narratives, be that in 2018 or 2023.

Not y'all tempting fate, now @katykater is going to draw up some graphs and paragraphs about how Taylor is a placeholder for the Axis powers during WWII and we are currently in the phase before D-Day and the Allied Powers (Katy Perry) come to everyone's rescue. :deadbanana4:

I love Taylor and I might be a Swiftie (sigh) but admittedly neither my mom nor my grandma would be able to name any Taylor songs. They would easily know Britney songs (BOMT, Oops…maybe Toxic?)

Why are y’all quoting posts from 2018? clapping back shouldn’t be this forced :rip:

Eg, if I asked my mom or grandma “hey do you know who sang Love Story or 22 or Blank Space,” they would need more context, vs “hey do you know who sang Baby One More Time”

Britney chewing gum is more iconic than Taylor’s biggest award show performance. It’s not even a question. One is an it girl and one is a pick me girl.

She always was. Britney is synonymous with 2000’s pop culture. Taylor will be once her peak is over. But who associates an entire decade to Taylor?
