This. If she's singing about being hard to get, she should also look hard to get (ie, not try-hard & desperate to please the audience by over dancing)

But I think it's an improvement over the Jimmy Kimmel performance at least. If she continues improving, we might have a new MPG.

Dua Lipa has an elegant and sophisticated style to her choreo, which is much more pleasing to watch. This Tate chick is just too aggressive and throwing herself around all over the place. Just cuz the moves are there don’t mean they are executed nicely. You can tell as she’s dancing that she’s dancing to prove a point, she’s trying too hard and it’s cringe to watch, imo.

I can def. appreciate someone who performs in an old-school popstar way... but I am not feeling her. She can clearly dance and sing, but I am not getting "star power" or stage presence from her. It is very "girl can dance" but that is it.

 

It is clear she has a lot of money behind her so good luck to her.
