ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted November 20, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted November 20, 2023 Now they get to do individual projects free from YG, and they'll just come together for Blackpink projects
Indie Go Mind Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 Damn. I really didn't think YG could pull it through... I just hope the girls got EVERY SINGLE THING that they want/need. They deserve it.

Queenyoncee Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 Waiting for YG statement.. I don‘t why some are here celebrating Quote Individual contracts are unknown... Lisa confirms her ‘independent route’ Girl group Blackpink continues group activities. However, exclusive contracts between each member and YG Entertainment (YG) were not signed. In the future, they plan to carry out individual activities and come together only for Blackpink activities. The four members of Blackpink recently agreed to continue ‘group activities’ with YG. Two of the members have already signed a contract with YG, agreeing to “continue Blackpink’s activities.” It has been confirmed that YG plans to make it official after signing contracts with the remaining members. YG said in its quarterly report on the 14th, “As of the disclosure date, the exclusive contract with the artist (Blackpink) is being negotiated for renewal. “The final results will be announced later through the disclosure of ‘Major Management Matters Related to Investment Decisions.’” However, it is still unclear whether the fourmembers will sign an exclusive contract with YG. No member has yet signed a new contract with YG. Lisa decided to take her own path early on (see Munhwa Ilbo’s July 12 report, ‘Blackpink Lisa’s YG contract renewal uncertain’), and other members are also negotiating terms with various companies. However, some members are still considering signing individual activity contracts with YG. An official in the music industry said, “There are places that offer down payments of tens of billions of won to recruit them. However, there are members who believe that it is more efficient to join hands with YG, which has supported Blackpink’s activities so far, and are still communicating with YG.” He said.

Asscatchem Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 ready for 1 last 8-track album throughout the span of 4 years
IBeMe Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 Must have been lucrative! Hope they release more music more often though. Their release pattern is tragic compared to other k pop groups. Also I do hope they get more freedom in their group activities. You can tell they want to be more artistically involved (especially Rose). I wonder how long this new contract is for? Their last one was a 7 year contract right?

Their last one was a 7 year contract right? the maximum contract is 7 years, that's a rule in korea. Rose is the only one that's sure to be individually contract with YG, she's the only one who has a Christmas project with them they wont be releasing more music though, if I were YG, they should release whatever the group has recorded as a final album, and just do major stadium dates for that because the COMMON AVAILABLE of schedule among them all will be near to none.

uusagii Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 Is this confirmed? It sounds like media play to stabilize their stocks or whatever
