You’re never allowed to bring liquids into any venue anywhere.

They should have had free water on hand to grab when you came in and continued to pass out during the show.

This is so sad, I can't even fathom being outside in 140 degree weather let alone being in the midst of a packed concert...

Rest in peace :cries:

So far there's no confirmation from any official source. Someone claiming to be related to the girl reported the death and local pop news twitter accounts picked it up.

So sad:weeps:

I hope this is not true, that would be horrible. Can’t even imagine how a family would feel knowing a loved one died from heat at a concert :weeps:

Apparently Brazil is going through a ruthless heat wave, the whole country is suffering from the record breaking temperatures. But the people working at the venue should’ve known better and provided water for everyone attending. I remember one time I was at Lollapalooza and we were all suffering because of the heat and the crew started going around giving water to all of us. That should be standard procedure everywhere.

WTF is happening with cardiac arrests becoming more and more common in the youth

Omg imagine feeling that kind of heat amidst such a large crowd. It gives me anxiety from just thinking about it :chick3:

It’s not.  It’s just been over hyped in the media due to blaming Covid-19 vaccines.

but anyone at any age can die from heat exhaustion.

This is insane, are people in charge of the venue not aware of the dangers of exrtreme heat? Rip

Holy f*ck this AWFUL. I feel terrible for everyone involved, Taylor included.

Yeah she's cancelling and never coming back to Brazil :rip:

The organisers should've seen the heat reports and made a plan for free water beforehand but they probably wanted to cash in by selling it instead :rip:

If someone has an official announcement, please post.

This tragic death is still hearsay.

I’m sorry but I don’t think this is the time to critic Brazilians ways to go to a concert, this clearly is out of “basic people” reach.

This is just a case of horrible management from the producers. Brazilians have held standing pits for years, that’s not the issue and using this context to express your “disapproval” of a “tradition” you are not part of seems a little dehumanizing and rude

I’m not blaming the Brazilian people. I’m saying the stadium should make changes for the safely and humanity of the attendees. Such as having seats on the floor for people to have their space. Or if that’s not possible something simple like handing out water bottles to all the people on the floor (like the person above mentioned it’s all about business and selling up-charged water. Like thats a human rights violation).

and I’m also just very very worried about my family which is attending the São Paulo show next week, and will be on the floor.

The venue should have at least let them take in an empty water bottle to fill up

Exactly! Water is a human right. If you’re holding this kind of event with this much people in a tight spot this should be the bare minimum.

There is barely any oxygen in the air because of the heat and the thousands of people. So t what can happen is that there is not enough blood/oxygen flowing to the brain, heart or other organs which causes the heart to stop.

yeah its hard to give whater to everyone they should let people go inside with water already you know...or spray people with a big hose or something...
