I remember when the original release of this “Greatest Hits” came out, that the fade on “That Don’t Impress Me Much” was a rather generous, longer fade that revealed a little more of the “Dance Mix” version of that track than had been heard previously.

It appears they have a master of that mix and accidentally placed the fade-out at a different time code when they pulled the master for usage on the 2004 “Greatest Hits”, than the original time code of the “Dance Mix” fade-out in 1997.

I believe the 2004 fade-out remains on this digital re-release (at least). It would be great if they one day go back to the original 1997 master of the Dance Mix and simply don’t fade it out at all. The clues are there they have an extended dance mix that’s never been released.

This was the first Shania Twain CD I ever got and loved it, but the North American version slaps so much harder tbh :jamming:

The popification of her catalog happening here. :biblio:

Using the inferior Red! Version mixings is one thing, and might be forgivable, but deleting the Billy Currington version of Party for Two in favor of the Mark McGrath version is a hate crime.

Was this not on Spotify already :redface:

Why did she not include It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing :biblio:

I forgive her though for making Forever & Always (Red pop) the superior version the first track :party:

Green = Country

Red = pop (well, not exactly pop but definitely not country)

Blue = World Music

Personally I like the green version of "Up!" the track, and the red version for all the other tracks :smile:

The blue mix is horrible. The green version is ok I guess. Personally, I like the red version best for all the tracks.

I loved the red and the blue ones for a while when I was younger, but Ka-Ching! (Red Version) and Waiter! Bring Me Water! are the only ones that suit the Red versions, but now that I'm older, the Green versions are the best ones for me.

I agree! Red is the best version by far (and that's probably why it was the only one that came in every 2CD set, and the only one that got a solo CD release in Europe)...

This one is even slightly longer than the GH one.
