She should have released this for Thanksgiving! Anyway $20M debut and maybe $35M final + global numbers is a respectable number.

 

I guess it will finish around $50M - $60M WW but that’s not bad, if it was $10M to make and she’s taking 1/3 that equals to $15M in revenue and she still has the rights for streaming to sell, yeah that’s like doing 3 stadium dates but it’s almost free money because they already taped the show every night.

Ew, this is really low with that averae high ticket price of like 5 dollars more than the Eras for every ticket.

This is like a normal movie opening with 9-11M in terms of audience.

I was thinking a 35-40M debut was possibile

 

If beyoncè makes these numbers Amc should rethink their strategy to release movies at the theaters. Taylor Swift is a never seen phenomenon and nothing modern can be comparable. 

The weekend or Drake or Bad Bunny would make less than 10M

And they said she is made a cultural impact. Numbers never lie it is clear Taylor Swift is bigger than Beyonce ever was at her prime and now eras tour will make close to 2 billion dollars. Taylor is now on an MJ level of fame. Her popularity skyrocketed to new highs these past two years.

You’re goofy as all **** and you know it. Taylor Swift is a superb songwriter and musician but will simply NEVER compare to Beyonce’s cultural and musical impact no matter how you try to slice it. Without Taylor Swifts stanbase , she’s basically toast from a commercial standpoint as she herself admitted during Rep and that’s perfectly ok. Everyone loves Beyonce. THAT is the difference but yeah hold tight to them “receipts”though…

what cultural impact did beyonce actually have she was just the same as amerie, ashanti and all then used race and politics in videos when it became the thing to do. The emotional impact of a Taylor swift song by a real songwriter not from someone who buys songwriting credits and who plays her own instruments will earn my respect over a great vocalist with no input and who uses ideas,concepts and choreos from real artists

seems like pretty solid #s for a legacy act woman in her 40s , only ATRL finds a way to drag Beyoncé who will pocket most of that $20+ million dollars

 

plus , considering it’s also likely the visual album , has big potential for longevity and word-of-mouth success if she delivers something that is worth the wait

Name one moment that Amerie or Ashanti had that was anything like Single Ladies.

 

Name one other popstar at Beyoncé's level who put "race and politics" in videos before Beyoncé.

 

Name one Taylor song that went #1 for eleven weeks*, a feat that Independent Women did, a song Beyoncé wrote herself and which clearly had some sort of "emotional impact" given its success.

 

 

 

*I actually don't think charts speak to worth, but I had to work this in somehow to continue the "name one..." thing.
