TS had her tickets at 19.89 which was about 4.8 million people on opening weekend Its 22. Don't know where you got 28 from unless you think it's only playing in IMAX. https://deadline.com/2023/11/beyonce-concert-film-renaissance-box-office-projection-1235615818/ Quote Hands down, older women are the prime demo for Renaissance, followed by younger women. Black demos for the movie show popularity among older males and females. Tickets began selling at $22. I dunno why ATRLers staying lying like no one is gonna fact check their claims. OT: it's gonna make a profit in the end anyway.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Movie tickets are like $30 a person girl this can wait till Netflix or Amazon prime gets it 1 1

Wish is looking to bomb and that weekend is notorious for low grosses cuz its the weekend after Thanksgiving. Also expect walk in business making it more than 20 M.

Eras is showing 4/7 of the week and It's still making more money than 80-90% of the movies even if you add their full week totals. Why would theatres keep a concert movie more than 5 weeks in if it came and went
The Music Industry Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 (edited) These numbers are pretty underwhelming, especially given that the IMAX showings are a whopping $28. Maybe it'll go up a bit. Edited November 17, 2023 by The Music Industry 1

The budget for eras is 10m+ and I can see it being around the same price. As for final gross, we all know it’ll be about 5m or so given all concert films are front loaded and will have about the same leg.
zoldyck Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 This is amazing. Taylor numbers have spoiled all of you to differentiate between good and bad numbers. 2
Forevermore. Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 What happened? Success. These are good numbers.
brenda-walsh Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 (edited) is this good or bad? i don't know movie numbers and why everyone keeps saying the tix were expensive? mine were only $20 and i live in the most expensive city in the US lol edit: my tix were $24 and it looks like eras tour are $20, but again, why do some people act like ren tix are extremely expensive and trying to drag bey Edited November 17, 2023 by brenda-walsh
ThousandMiles Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 It was always going to flop lbr. Beyoncé doesn’t have that global appeal like Taylor does. The people paying $20-$30 to see this movie will mostly be hard-core fans. 3
holyground13 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Beyoncé is a black woman whose music particularly appeals to black and queer people as of recently. The nature of her shows are going to alienate certain demographics, so her numbers were never going to be close to Taylor's and that's okay. 1 1

Life Savers Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 (edited) Yet another thread of tired arguments that would be warned if it was a pop star other than Taylor. As if Carly Rae Jepson would make a 250M grossing concert film by virtue of her race. Anyway... as for Bey's film itself. It'll do fine and I'll go watch it myself. Because of the direct deal with theaters she'll make some bank. This is the regular for concert movies, Taylor's is an anomaly because of her huge celebrity and wide fanbase. BOOMBAYAH Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Beyonce was never going to pull Taylor Swift numbers, and this tour/era is probably her most "niche" yet so I don't know why people expected massive numbers. This is good considering her demographic and stature.
Draper. Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Quote The biggest opening for a movie in early December belongs to the Warner Bros.’ 2003 Tom Cruise pic The Last Samurai, at $24.2M, while Disney’s third weekend of Frozen 2 in early December 2019 counts the most amount of money for a film at No. 1 with $35.1M. So where’s the shade? 20m is great. 1
Geraldine Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Nothing Beyonce is 41 and those are good numbers.
NEX Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Thank you for reminding me about this. Just got tickets for me and my friend
BGKC Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 These numbers are more than fine. She’s getting away with a lot with these ticket prices (from the tour to the film). The visuals as a film would have garnished a more hype though. That would have been a big move.
