She's not lying. I remember an old interview Gaga did where she met Patti and received useful advice from her. Gaga's stage director and best friend is Michael Bearden who is very known in the business and he said Gaga was nervous for her upcoming 2019 Shallow performance at the Oscars and Patti gave advice and her blessing .
