Genuine question does Janet respond to pop stars who cite her or acknowledge her influence? Because I've seen Troye Sivan talk about her quite a bit and she's never acknowledged him but granted Troye is nowhere near Beyonce's level of stardom lol

I dont know if she responds to all but she acknowledged Taylor’s line in SOTB  released merely months after BMS (Queens remix) but you can go further back to find Beyoncé referencing Janet and the accord hasn’t been reciprocated.

Hasn't Beyonce and Janet done a photoshoot together? I don't think this is a scenario of paying her dust, Beyonce has probably privately communicated her admiration and there's no need continuously acknowledging it publicly by Janet

Yes they did but that was 6 Beyoncé eras ago. Just something fans have noticed over the years cus a pattern emerged. We’ll never know if there’s more to it or not.

I know it’s a bit dumb to discuss followers but Janet follows basically all the pop girls except Bey. And yes I know Bey doesn’t follow her but she doesn’t follow anyone except her husband since the beginning of time. When you combine that with everything else it seems like something is up.
