I have a story to tell you guys, that honestly a lot of other american jews have probably been able to relate to

 

growing up, a lot of us were made to believe that zionism was fundamental to our jewish identities. we went to sunday school and later hebrew school, many of us went to fun summer camps. and personally, here’s what I took from those experiences, which I have in my life to this day:

 

- the power of community

- a love and respect for my culture

- pride in my identity, including the way i look. my hair, my face, the way I carry myself. it all relates to my jewish ancestors

- a generous outlook on life. helping the world become a better place

 

but you know what I was EASILY able to unlearn? that notion that was near brainwashed into me as a child that zionism was “good” and “essential to judaism.” that’s not a part of my world, and it shouldn’t be a part of anyone’s world.

 

it just isn’t. it isn’t any of that. and it was so easy to wake the hell up and realize that there’s a genocide happening. we have to free Palestine. judaism is all about love, compassion, tzedekah! supporting one another. not being hateful or fascistic. it doesn’t take a lot of effort to realize that zionism is bad. grow the sh*t up, Noah. it’s 2023.

 

I barely adhere to most aspects of judaism now, and in fact I disapprove of certain customs (circumcision being the main one I disapprove of, obviously). but zionism just isn’t part of judaism. and the judaism I know and will always respect, and will always be somewhat a part of my life will be about love and compassion. learn from this, Noah. be on the right damn side of history

Israel has like 21% Arabs if anything a Palestine state would be way more demographically Arab.

 

Isreal is a zionist invention?  I don't think the British took a zionist approach when they founded Isreal but maybe I'm wrong. 

 

Also as you said Nationals are legal constructs and Israel is legally a country while Palestine is not. I support a two-state solution you support Isreal being dissolved and Jews being wiped out.

How is not watching a show’s last season, which is already under production, cancel culture? People can freely choose how to spend their time and their money to voice their values. Just lazily calling everything cancel culture is unproductive.
