Revolution Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 idk why this person is so mad about the skit
Club classic Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Just now, Punky Rooster said: I thought this was her boyfriend, I hope he isn't being paid much. I thought he was her GBF? I’m confused 1

LittleStarmen Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 they were not making fun of britney but fun of the celeb impressions reading her book.... 1
brazil Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 The skit was really bad and snl is indeed getting really bad (or maybe they always were and people are just now realizing), but I don't understand why respond to it, it didn't warrant it. 4
Erreur2 La Nature Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) Great. That segment was disrespectful at f***. The way Britney went through decades of traumas, put in in a book for them to bully her is disgusting. They even used some made up quotes from Twitter (like the one about Justin Timberlake *****) to make Britney sound stupid. SNL has been getting destroyed by everyone online for this, rightfully. All Guns Blazing Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) I don’t see anything offensive about the skit, maybe if they included Justin or Jamie Lynn then I could understand his reaction. Edited November 12, 2023 by All Guns Blazing
Mitsouko Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 You would think if you were Britney Spears’ manager you would have a sense of humor. Alas… 2
Eat The Acid Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 SNL has always been terrible. There’s literally not one funny skit. 4
crf13 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I don’t really expect the usual OBHs in here to have empathy, but for anyone who’s confused - Chloe’s been doing a nasty “impression” of Britney for years and the impressions she did during the FreeBritney movement were vile. It doesn’t take many brain cells to see why Cade called them out for continuously doing these stupid Britney skits while behind the scenes calling him and asking him to get Britney on the show. It’s a very “either the play the game with us or we’re going to make you the punchline” attitude. Just nasty, but not surprising from Lorne. 3 3 2

Hook Up Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 The problem is that they’re using someone’s very dark truth to make jokes at the expense of others. While not directly mocking Britney, it doesn’t necessarily allow her book the space to be taken as seriously as it should. This isn’t the first time in recent history either. They made strange comments on Weekend Update two weeks prior when the news about the JT abortion broke. On top of all that, the skit was simply unfunny. SNL shouldn’t have to take jokes from stan Twitter to produce content, but the show lost its touch years ago. 8 1
Abracadabra Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 The skit wasn't funny but they weren't even mocking Britney or her book at all so idk why he's so mad
Kern Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Chloe is very funny and most people commenting here did not watch the skit 3 3
Shelter Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Was SNL ever good. US humour just isn’t it. 1
LanaXtinaFan Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 The skit wasn’t even offensive. Why y’all being so sensitive.
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 The only thing offensive about SNL these days is how offensively bad it is no matter the controversy or taste level of the jokes.
ImpressMeMuch Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 The skit was offensively bad, but not offensive to Britney. I dont know what he’s on about.
