poki Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Crash Nitro Kart is 20 years old! The game sold about 2 million copies and is considered to be one of the best post-PS1 Crash games. The game was revived by having it's tracks and characters recreated in 2019's Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled, cementing its legacy. Vicarious Visions aimed to serve a unique take on the game's visuals where the environments and characters remain sharp and polygon-al, but with better textures. The game was meant to include all tracks from Crash Team Racing, and even introduce Nina Cortex. However, the failure of The Wrath of Cortex and the delays of Twinsanity caused the game to be pushed for a 2003 release window and those plans to be cut. Vicarious Visions would then go on to release The N. Sane Trilogy in 2017. 2
Escape Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 TWOC is underrated and to this day has the best soundtrack to a Crash game ever.
