EARLY PREDICTIONS

Stray Kids’ ROCK-STAR (JYP/Imperial/Republic) is tracking to a #1 opening on Friday’s HITS Top 50, unseating Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) after a two-week run.

After one day of sales and streams, we’re projecting ROCK-STAR to land in the 225-250k range. This will give Stray Kids its second #1 debut following 5-Star, which opened with 249kin June. Can ROCK-STAR best that total? Stay tuned.

Chris Stapleton’s Higher (Mercury Nashville) is headed toward a Top 5 bow in its first week with projected activity of 80-90k.

Getting Higher is also part of our weekend plans.

Stray Kids (JYP/Imperial/Republic) 225-250k
Chris Stapleton (Mercury Nashville) 80-90k
Rick Ross & Meek Mill (MMG/gamma.) 30-35k
Youngboy Never Broke Again (Never Broke Again/Motown) 30-35k

5-STAR first prediction was 190-220k and then It got updated when they added a couple of digital versions (voice memos) on their store through the week. Let's see how It goes. I don't know If Republic will do the same with R-S.

It really is. They released 2 korean albums and 2 japanese albums this year.

And unlike Taylor, for example, they promote a lot each one of these releases. Must be exhausting.  :psyduck:

Bizarre that no BTS solo got #1. If a SKZ solo album came out I guess they wouldn't pull their #s though so *shrug*

I'm rolling with Stray Kids getting #1s this year and the BTS/Solos fraud and reign of terror being defeated. It's just so glorious to watch :coffee:

Stray Kids are more talented and better looking tbh

They deserve the success. BTS had their fun and they did serve some good bops in their korean music but their english releases were all major turn offs for me and a lot of other fans tbh

Taylor's re recordings are getting so many weeks stolen from them :'(

150k for a third week is SOLID AF and deserves a #1 but tbh I'm not mad Stray Kids are blocking...their really talented (they produce and write all their songs) and they are gorgeous AF (Bang Chan and Huyjin can bang chan me anytime tbh :smitten: )

I think she can come back to #1 next week now that Nicki Minaj changed her release date.

Or is there a potential #1 debut I'm not aware?
