That’s not true. The issue is no one really cares about her artistry but like her as a person/model/celebrity. 
 

Her music is so impersonal that no one really gravitates to want to stan her for it. It doesn’t mean she’s faceless, it’s just no one is that invested in her music because it can be sung by anyone. 
 

Even Katy Perry had a very distinct image and sound that seemed very “Katy” in her peak which is why even without a big fan base she still had instant smash lead singles

The lack of distinction isn't the issue, it's quite the opposite. She released a song that sounds like it could have been part of Future Nostalgia yet again, without the excuse of it being for a movie. She's not innovating her sound, which is the biggest requirement for a female artist to spark continuous interest. 

 

Future Nostalgia will soon be four years old...

All that being said I like Dua's song, and it's the lack of reinvention that's having people lose interest, not it being generic. It's actually quite distinctly Dua, imo.

Who she have some beefs? No, she is just the cute girl singing nice club songs. That’s why she is never debuting high and always demands her label to pay a lot of money on Spotify payola
