1) justice for Palestine 

2) I don’t believe in punishing the citizens for the actions of a few in the government established there. 
3) it is a bit interesting that she/her team is choosing to show it there given everything that is going on. On one hand I can understand a moral booster for the average citizen who has nothing to do with the big decisions. On the other hand… idk. Is it really fair to punish the many for the actions of a few?

It's a bit disheartening to see an artist who has definitely used her art as a form of politics not extend the same empathy to a different, but not completely different, struggle. It's fully ok to still love her and criticise this move -- and yes, a wider boycot would definitely have an impact in how this active genocide is received. I don't expect my milionaire celebrities to have the best sense of politics, but I do think I'm justified in being disappointed.

I want you to know the way that countries have applied foreign pressure for centuries is by sanctions and boycotting of their products. Movies are not being released in Russia (Including the Renaissance film) due to the war they've started in Ukraine that the US is funding billions of dollars in support of. Even the new Mortal Kombat (owned by Warner Bros) did not release in Russia. It's not fair to the fans, but it's things like this that add pressure to the government to change. Civil unrest is the best way to convince your govt to change.

 

Y'all sitting here saying "Who cares" and "What about the fans" when in reality, even a Beyoncé concert film can make some type of waves (and things like this have historically helped). 

 

Beyoncé should pull the movie from Israel. If she pulled the movie from US and UK cinemas or other countries complicit in this-- even better.
