According to Sony Corp‘s results, Sony Music Entertainment‘s ten biggest recorded music projects in calendar Q3 2023 quarter (ex-artists signed in Japan), in order of global revenue generation, were as below.

 

  1. Travis Scott, UTOPIA
  2. SZA, SOS
  3. Harry Styles, Harry’s House
  4. Luke Combs, Gettin’ Old
  5. Miley Cyrus, Endless Summer Vacation
  6. Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE
  7. Lil Durk, Almost Healed
  8. Doja Cat, Scarlet 
  9. Luke Combs, This One’s for You 
  10. Harry Styles, Fine Line

Impressive that Travis is still their top artist in terms of revenue after selling those vinyl for $5 (?).

Revenue is not the same as profit…

He also sold CD’s and digital albums + huge streaming numbers?

Yes that was kinda my underlying message, that the rest of his consumption must be worth a lot. Though as someone pointed out, it's revenue not profit so it's less extreme than I thought, but still I am impressed.
