I agree. That's an iconic Streisand look. Her 60s decade is probably my favorite Babs era.

I didn't know she had an autobiography releasing soon. I may check it out. She has lived a long and fruitful life. It's so rare these days to get a celebrity memoir from a celebrity that has actually lived most of their life already so you know she got tea for days after being in the industry for 60+ years lol. 

 

edit: oh ****, just looked up the book on my Google Play books to see if maybe I want to save/pre-order and saw that the page count is 992 pages! I'm not put off by the length but I have a bevy of other books in rotation right now that I need to finish. Babs might have to wait until like Thanksgiving for me to be done... or Christmas lol.

i bet she has fun tea and funny bitchy anecdotes but i don't expect her to give the vulnerability/honesty/self-reflection that's necessary to make a memoir actually good. happy to be proven wrong though!

I'm actually really interested in her view on being seen as a monster by the crew and cast members during the Funny Girl Broadway stint. Apparently she was awful to people.

Please. I am a graphic designer by trade. I'm not someone who has never seen nor noticed a book cover before.

Let's look at celebrity memoirs, generally:

 

 

 

All in all, it wasn't shade to Barbra. I stan her. It was a silly little comment that points out a similarity between it and literally the most talked about celebrity memoir released this year.
