I appreciate her donations and I won't stop her for doing it since it will benefit the victims however, a simple post dragging Israel and its war crime will give huge impact on propaganda war. Israel via mainstream western media (BBC, CNN etc.) has been controlling the narrative for so long but social media for the past few years is more influential in shaping the public opinion. If you follow closely the conflict, Israel is slowly losing the narrative right now and its lies have been exposed over and over again. Its PR team is scrambling for new fabricated fake stories but with more and more influencers and artists come forward and use their voice to support Palestine it will ruin Israel its propaganda machine and make people realize that Israel is not the victim, they are oppressor the one that are currently performing genocide. Inb4 someone coming for my fav Taylor, let me go straight that I'm frustrated she does not use her voice to address the issue but it's better to remain silent and start educating herself first instead of blindly siding with the wrong side which in this case Selena gets caught for liking Amy Zionist Schumer posts. 1

baelani Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Like clockwork Magen David Adom in its own words, works alongside the IDF and is "an auxiliary service to the Israeli Defense Forces in time of war But I guess it’s a start that they’re also donating to the Red Cross efforts This both sides post however does not sit well with me. You can’t support the oppressor and the oppressed at the same time It’s like giving the bully and the kid whose lunch got stolen both a sticker. Worms for brains When you try and paint yourself as a saint but remain incredibly uneducated on humanitarian matters it begs the question of if you just want the clout that comes along with labelling yourself as a “philanthropist” 1
qurl Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 not to be glib/bleak but aid $$$ is not getting into Gaza and people should be very weary of donating to anything … if there’s one country essentially imposing a blockaid (in this case israel) , any of the money and aid is getting filtered in thru the country imposing such restrictions and there’s no way to make sure your money is going thru to the people of Gaza its awful but that’s why pressuring governments for an immediate end to the airstrikes and attacks from israel is most necessary and pressing, not donating 3
