Gomez and CO. wouldn't have done this had it not been for the online push-back she received regarding her original response. Doesn't feel genuine because of that but none the less, I'm still very happy about this donation (though I do wonder how much is being donated). At least aid is going to those who truly need it.

As a person who has the most followers, her words actually are more powerful than her actions in this situation. I appreciate her donations and I won't stop her for doing it since it will benefit the victims however, a simple post dragging Israel and its war crime will give huge impact on propaganda war. Israel via mainstream western media (BBC, CNN etc.) has been controlling the narrative for so long but social media for the past few years is more influential in shaping the public opinion. If you follow closely the conflict, Israel is slowly losing the narrative right now and its lies have been exposed over and over again. Its PR team is scrambling for new fabricated fake stories but with more and more influencers and artists come forward and use their voice to support Palestine it will ruin Israel its propaganda machine and make people realize that Israel is not the victim, they are oppressor the one that are currently performing genocide. Inb4 someone coming for my fav Taylor, let me go straight that I'm frustrated she does not use her voice to address the issue but it's better to remain silent and start educating herself first instead of blindly siding with the wrong side which in this case Selena gets caught for liking Amy Zionist Schumer posts.

public opinion is already majority against Israel. I don't think just Selena posting something will change the favorable ones opinion if the images of the war didn't. But if ALL celebrities posted maybe would make a difference like it made at the US presidential election so yes, ask Selena to post but ask everyone else too.
