#1 on official albums chart, Bad Bunny at #2:

https://www.elportaldemusica.es/lists/top-100-albums/2023/44

Notably:

  • 1989 (TV) is certified Gold off its opening week alone
  • 1989 (TV) debuts with a bigger first week than Bad Bunny's debut 3 weeks ago
  • With 1989 (TV)'s debut, Taylor charts 5 albums in Spain's top 100 this week:
    • 1989 (TV) at #1 (1 week)
    • Midnights at #29 (54 weeks)
    • Speak Now (TV) at #34 (17 weeks)
    • Evermore at #53 (97 weeks)
    • Red (TV) at #65 (98 weeks)

Very impressive :clap3:

Not her outselling Bad Bunny's first week in spain of all places...

Wtf happened in Europe for her to block all these heavyweight acts with a rerecording?

Inch resting :ryan3:
Whoever posted the charts must be a Swiftie who faked the numbers because there is no way it debuted higher than Chromatica in Spain :ryan3:

The exact number isn't released, but Taylor was certified Gold in her opening week while Bad Bunny was certified Gold in his 2nd week. Which means Bad Bunny's opening was less than 20K units, while Taylor's opening was 20K minimum

I’m impressed with Laura getting another top 5 after 30 years in the music business!

Poor that user who keeps trying to use European markets to claim Taylor isn’t big just because her album as a WHOLE is being consumed instead of just charting one high single :ahh:

Gold first week is huge.
I hope that with this Universal learns. With 1989 tv they stock CDs and vinyl just few hours after US instead they used to do weeks later or only the main variant making swifties to buy in  Taylor’s French store.

Where's that user that claimed Chromatica would have more #1s around the world than 1989?
